After a minute, it was removed so just went and re-added it and BOOM. One other thing I would check for is corrupted OST files. Turn off cache mode, delete or rename the OST file, and then turn cache mode back on.

I also went ahead and uninstalled the email scanning portion of our Antivirus to check as well. I have an email problem that has been plaguing me for some time now and I have so far been unable to find a resolution. EDIT - the folder check add-on is for older versions of TB. Maybe some encoding behavior or just a different linefeed or something that has changed over the reset cached Exchange mode years... I’ve never heard of setting a path before for email, so apologies if this is a simple solution to those who come across this in the future. If you can, turn off IMAP, require 2FA, and use the native outlook client. Having the same issue with some of our accounts on IMAP as well.
Chosen solution
By web app, I mean webmail accessed via Firefox or Chrome for (say) Windows 10, not smartphone app. My comment about 3rd party email -- is a 3rd email app called Email - Edison Mail (from the App Store) I set up my mail accounts in the app and everything works as it should. I’ve tried repairing the data file, removing and re-adding the account, rebooting, re-installing Outlook/Office, running SFC/DISM, all to no avail. Their webmail works fine, and when this account is added to the Windows Mail app, everything works perfectly. One word of warning - you shouldn’t set that interval to more often than maybe every 10 minutes, every 5 would be the absolutel minimum I’d set. If you set too often you run the risk that Outlook could start the next download before finishing the previous download and that could cause duplicate messages and other possible issues.
My accounts in Mail app stopped to sync post update
I am using TB for just three weeks now and I have issues daily Exchange connectivity diagnostic when sending mail with no attachments the outgoing mail server will time out. Since the sync issue is universal it appears to be a global issue. Perhaps something in TB needs to be tweaked. I have no firewall monitors running during the day that would interfere just the vpn. With that said - the "delayed syncing" issue that I am experiencing is happening on Inbox as well as Junk folders.

While outlook supports IMAP, it doesn’t really want to work with it, so not surprised you are having some troubles. My phone, which I have no problems with, is behind the same router/firewall as the PC on a regular basis. The issue persists with PC connected directly to the internet with no router or firewall in between.
- I also noticed that some IMAP settings — like the root folder path (e.g. "INBOX") — are not available in the new Outlook, which makes troubleshooting more difficult.
- Meanwhile, the "connecting" or "Checking for mail..." just stays on the bottom status bar of the mail app.

- I have half dozen mail accounts a few microsoft a gamil and some other ones and there is no difference they are all acting the same.
Hate to be a Debbie Downer, but why are you using IMAP? A primary way to compromise an O36 user is phish a user, steal their creds, and connect via IMAP to get a copy of a whole mailbox. By reporting abuse, a moderator will be asked to review the content of this interaction to take further action, if necessary.
If I click off of inbox and down to sent item, then click back on inbox, all of the new mail will populate. The problem can be caused by either improper settings or a damaged send/receive group within Outlook. At first, I was thinking it may be an issue with certificates, but it's not... I went to a bunch of online TLS tests and the mail server is fine and the certificates are trusted... So only wait when some "smarties" from apple IT solve problem in app ... We only have a handful of people who use the their email across multiple devices at the corporate office. Just a question - why not look at office 365? Mailbox only support is like $6 a month or less, and it is proper exchange, enabling better syncing etc. You should look at your Outlook desktop client settings to review the default synchronization schedule and tweak anything you can to get it to poll Google's IMAP servers more frequently. I access the IMAP servers from 3 different machines, and they all see the changes from each other. The problem is that the some changes are not reflected in the Gmail web app.
