Seoul’s nightlife offers something for everyone and different areas in the city cater for different types of entertainment according to your idea of a fun night out. Shops and restaurants are always open and you’ll find people wherever you go, no matter the time of day or night, ensuring you never wonder what to do or where to go in Seoul at night. As of 2018, female students from China staying in South Korea reach 41,957 and many of them are caught by the press and reported as sexual workers. The South Korean newspaper "The Dong-a Ilbo" reveals that sex workers in the so-called "휴게텔" are all composed of Chinese women (Han Chinese and Ethnic Korean Chinese) except "Gangnam" area. The US State Department report also states that the South Korean government "fully complies with the minimum standards for the elimination of trafficking". According to Timothy Lim, the customers of Korean prostitutes in foreign countries are overwhelmingly non-Korean men in massage parlours, while their customers through out-call services, room salons and hostess bars are often % Korean. Human trafficking was outlawed and penalties for prostitution increased; the 2004 Act on the Prevention of the Sex Trade and Protection of its Victims was passed, toughening penalties for traffickers, ending deportation of victims, and establishing a number of shelters for victim


This includes skipping the line once it gets later in the night. The two most popular clubbing areas in Seoul are definitely Hongdae and Itaewon. You can find them anywhere, but I recommend going to a pocha that is not super close to the clubbing districts (Hongdae and Itaewon

Seongsu (Seoul): Cafes, Restaurants, Bars, & Attractions
Although Korea can be really fun, you need to know how to plan your night and where to go to truly enjoy the experience. I will continue to update this list and add new spots as I discover them. The vibe is pure rock nostalgia, with vinyl records adorning the walls and a drum set in the center of the bar. They offer a wide range of beers, and there’s a unique feature where you can write down a song on a piece of paper, and the owner will play it for you. This bar holds a special place in my heart as it was one of the first ones I visited in Seoul. Being a business district, it’s a popular destination for office workers unwinding after a day’s work.

It has the same vibe as the one in Itaewon, cheap drinks, and easy to socialize with other drinkers. The drinks are affordable, and the outdoor standing area is perfect for enjoying nice weather. The pub nails the essentials with its laid-back atmosphere, friendly service, and diverse drink selection, The menu also includes a variety of drinks to complement the flavorful meal. This restaurant offers a vibrant atmosphere and delicious chicken specialties. This appears to be the most popular nightlife district, known for its casual and affordable vibe.
Step 2: Getting To The Club
It is quite a big risk to bring your passport out on a night that might quickly become unhinged, but unfortunately, this is the case. Since it was opened to the public in 1980, it has become a popular spot for both locals and tourists to enjoy the sunset, followed by the incredible view of the city lighting up after dark. If you’re heading out at night, make prior arrangements to make sure you’ll get home safe. A traditional Korean dining experience, cocktails and dancing at a nightclub, singing at a karaoke bar, or one of my personal favourite treats – going to a Korean sauna at night.
Namsan Seoul Towe


Club Mass is another popular club that is slightly more affordable than Club Octagon. Along with Hongdae and Itaewon, Gangnam is one of the best places to go in Seoul to experience the city’s never dying party scene. You can order this from most restaurants in the city, but one of my favourites is Seorae Galmaegi, located in the centre of Gangnam. The Namsan Tower, or YTN Seoul Tower, was built on the highest point of the city to provide the best view of the beautiful city lights at night. Taxis are still around, 한국야동 but it’s not the best option since you’re at risk for being scammed into paying way too much for a short taxi ride.
